731 days plus some

Randy and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this past Sunday. The past two years have flown! On Saturday we celebrated by going to Joe's Crab Shack (won't do that again) and watching "Dark Knight" (great movie, little intense, but great). It was a very laid back, enjoyable evening.

I am feeling a little nostalgic so I am going to tell you our story. If you know it already read it anyway.....maybe you will learn something new.

I always like to start out by saying.....I have had a crush on him since I was 14. My brother, Brady, attended a boy scout camp at Philmont where he meet Randy. Brady brings home a group picture of all the scouts that were in his group. Brady hangs the picture on his wall and I ask, "Who is that boy", thinking that he is super cute. Brady says, "Oh, that Randy. He's cool." "How old is he?", I ask. Brady responds, "18." To myself I say, "Yeah, like that is ever going to happen, I'm only 14!"

Well, it is obvious how the story ended........we got married. But it really was not that easy. Randy and I dated for 4 years and 1 month before he proposed. Our first official date was June 4, 2002. He took me to the Amarillo College Jazz band were we listen to Jazz music and talked. As the years progressed we went through a lot together. We learned a ton and I am grateful for that time I had to "grow up" with him. He proposed on July 1, 2006 in Santa Fe at my family reunion. We went on a hike with Jami, David and Brady. Jami, Randy and I fell behind and took pictures of the beautiful mountains. Randy had asked Jami to take a picture of us at a certain spot he picked out. I did not think anything about it because we were always taking picture of us. After Jami took the picture Randy said "Don't move!" I was a little freaked out. I thought there might be a bear behind me. Out of the blue, he gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Jami squealing in the background, realizes what is going on and starts to take a million pictures. I am shocked, I had no clue that he was going to ask! I was super excited and said "YES!!!!" It was a great day. ****side note**** He had the ring for 8 months!

September 28, 2006 we were married in the Lubbock, Texas Temple for time and all eternity! This was the happiest day of my life. The ceremony was beautiful! I not only married the man I had loved for 4 years, but I truly married my best friend. It was a perfect day spent with him, my family, and my dear friends!

Randy, thank you for your support and love! I love you!

Up Close and Personal.....

This is our favorite "chocolate" dog, George. He is our loyal dog. It doesn't matter what we are doing he is at our side.
I just recently got a new camera lens and we were just testing it out. This is my new favorite picture of George.

I'm Alive!

For those who probably think I am dead.....I'm not! I have been extremely busy. I am beginning to think that I have spread myself a bit too thin. Randy and I have traveled a ton this summer and I thought now that school started we would be able to slow down. Well, so far that has not been the case. I just returned from Utah on Monday (my nephew was baptised) and we might be going to Las Vegas in early November. So besides traveling the world I have managed to work 40 hours a week, continue my schooling, spend too much money, do several photo sessions and a wedding, cook, clean, my church calling, grow a yard full of grass, gain some weight, and caught up on all the "House" episodes I have recorded. So if that is not enough I have been trying to workout in the mornings before work so that I can loose all the weight I gained because I was too busy to eat healthy. Below are some engagement pics I took for a good friend of mine. The wedding is another story to tell........later! Enjoy!
